Turnkey plants are often designed by multiple teams using CAD, CAE, ECAD and ERP systems. Each of these tools has its value - but an overall view of the plant in the spatial environment is missing. This lack of context complicates coordination, triggers additional change loops and extends project times. The planning capacity of the specialists in the company is limited anyway. Despite high demand and available components, many manufacturers are unable to realize their potential. The catch: without sound planning, they cannot even submit a bid and must leave the field to the competition.
