Coop City: Efficient planning of department stores with P'X5
New strategies and changing consumer behavior increasingly require new furnishing concepts in the retail sector, which have to be implemented in all stores as quickly as possible. Coop City, a division of the Swiss Coop Cooperative based in Basel with 31 department stores, has found a particularly advanced solution for this: Using a cloud-like IT platform, its own employees plan the furnishings of individual department stores with the help of 3D catalogs in the P'X5 Store Designer Solution from Perspectix. In just a few days, they then generate a detailed order for a non-food department store with several thousand square meters.
Furnishing concepts in retail are subject to the spirit of the times and must correspond to the consumer behavior of the target groups. They should implement current sales strategies and convey the brand values. And finally, they must be constantly adapted to new products and product variants.
