Efficiency thanks to digital DIY store planning
With the P'X Retail Solution from Perspectix, leading retail chains in the DIY sector are digitizing processes in shopfitting, interior design, product range planning and merchandising. Above all, better communication and collaboration between all those involved at head office and in the stores, as well as with external shopfitters and furnishing suppliers, ensures greater efficiency.
The P'X Retail Solution offers retail chains a 3D visualization of all locations, furnishing elements and product displays based on the original store plans. Furnishing concepts can be created with the help of 3D catalogs. "The software meets our requirements and was perfectly adapted to our specifications by Perspectix," explains Philippe Mougeot, project manager for the global implementation at Leroy Merlin. In order to plan 20 new DIY stores each year, a standard store with an area of around 10,000 square meters was defined, which is stocked with around 1,500 items of equipment ranging from screws to various shelving elements and partitions. Around 35,000 products from 15 product groups are arranged to promote sales. Thanks to the 3D visualization of details on the product carriers, the planning corresponds better to reality. The furnishing orders for new DIY stores meet actual requirements more accurately and the error rate has been reduced from 15 to less than 5 percent.
Efficient planogram creation
Since 2022, HORNBACH Baumarkt AG has also been using the P'X Retail Solution to plan its 171 DIY stores and garden centers in nine European countries. In order to achieve the highest possible sales area productivity, it is important to allocate the sales area to product groups, the type and positioning of product carriers and the optimal placement of individual items in the stores. "Local conditions of the individual DIY stores, regional and company-wide articles as well as the central experience regarding turnover volumes, buyer behavior and product placement must be taken into account," reports Andre Hoffmann, Project Manager Store Format Development at HORNBACH. "The 3D planograms of the P'X Retail Solution are relatively easy to create and maintain. You get an overview of entire stores and can simply zoom in if required."
Web-based Store Communicator
A web-based Store Communicator significantly expands the range of users of the 3D planning basis: any authorized person can access 3D plans for a project via a web link from stationary or mobile devices, share plans and photos, mark them up and comment on them. Central, regional and local units thus achieve greater accuracy and efficiency in their collaboration. "The feedback from the stores continuously increases the quality of planning," reports Andre Hoffmann. "The new digital processes lead to cost savings and time advantages in the realization of concepts, which ultimately benefits our customers."
